Recently, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Office of Developmental Programs released its Residential Services Performance-Based Contracting Implementation Guide.
Included in this guide are requirements for the use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs). Through June 30, 2026, the minimum EHR requirement is electronic medication administration records. However, beginning July 1, 2026, EHR capability must also include external third-party communication (e.g. pharmacy, physician).
